Description
DashboardClient is a process that Mac OS X uses to run Dashboard Widgets. Typically there will be one DashboardClient process running for each dashboard widget you have running. In some cases the DashboardClients are launched the first time you open up the Dashboard (by pressing F12 or the dedicated Dashboard key).

DashboardClient processes have been known to create problems when trying to install the Adobe Flash Player plugin for Safari or other browsers. This is because in a sense the Dashboard is a minimalistic browser and shares some resources with fully-fledged browsers. If this is happening launch Activity Monitor and terminate any processes named "DashboardClient" from there, then try installing the Flash plugin again.
